fellowship

Sunday is vital, but there is much more to being a community of care than gathering once a week. We are called to live out life with one another. Gods vision for his people is that we "clothe ourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, meekness and patience. Bear with one another, and if anyone has a complaint against another, forgive each other; just as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive. Above all clothe yourselves with love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony (Col 3.1214).

Fellowship Groups

Fellowship Groups are small groups of CCIW members who meet for prayer, Bible study and mutual support. They are an excellent opportunity to develop a real depth of Christian fellowship and care for one another. Fellowship groups come in different shape and sizes:

General fellowship groups: Our main type of fellowship groups meet on a weekday evening. They are made up of people from the same congregation, who meet in a members home, sometimes combined with dinner. They happen on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nights, so that they work for people with different availability.  Contact Jill Williams in the office to find a group that suits you.

Women's fellowship group: Being a mum with young kids is exhausting! Getting adult conversation when you're actually awake can be a challenge. The women's fellowship group is held on Wednesday mornings at St John's Ashfield. And the best part is, there are volunteers to look after the kids!

Easy English fellowship group:  This special group for those with English as their second (or third!) language meets on Sundays, 5.30 - 6.45pm in the St John's Hall.

Breakfast fellowship group: For some, work hours are such that the only time to meet is before work begins. To cater for such people, we have a breakfast fellowship group on Tuesdays from 6:30-7:45am, at St Albans Five Dock. Breakfast is ordered in, and while we enjoy our food, we also get some food for the soul!

Other Fellowship Opportunities

Wednesday morning service: Our mid-week service, held at St Johns, Ashfield at 10am on Wednesdays, provides an opportunity for those who benefit from a quiet service of Holy Communion, with a short homily and no singing.

Mothers' Union: At St Albans, Five Dock, our Mothers' Union group meets on the 2nd Wednesday of the month, from 1.30-3:30pm.
